The Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Adela Martinez-Cache, visited the regional park Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar, a natural area with an area of ​​856 hectares, about six kilometers of Mediterranean coastline and four kilometers of coastline on the Mar Menor.
The space extends along the coast forming a rich environmental complex regional park declared by Law 4/1992, of July 30, Management and Protection of Natural Resources in the Region of Murcia.
In this context, the regional head said "the creation of the path of the Tarays, which will be an alternative to Butte Landmark able to show the real attraction of the salt reserve without harming the birds present and the fragile ecosystem."
Martinez-Cache also advanced that "the new road will connect directly with the path of 'weirs' enormous environmental and scenic value, and the north beach area of ​​the demolished tower, avoiding overcrowding in the south" .
Thus, the Ministry will continue with projects to improve regional park of Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar.
