The City of San Pedro del Pinatar has replaced the lamps 332 National Highway, the main artery of the town, opting for efficient and clean technology, which will result in significant energy savings and electricity bills.
A total of 128 lamps 332 National Highway, passing through San Javier, they have recently been replaced by a project of remodeling and energy improvements that will reduce 60.6% of electricity consumption in the area .
This action, which is being finalized, involved the replacement of 138 luminaires High Pressure Sodium Vapor (VASP), with a power of 34,560 watts, for other LED technology to reduce this consumption to 13,614 watts.
This project, which has had a budget of 106,148.71 euros, was financed by the Ministry of Industry, which contributed 50,000 euros, and the City of San Javier, who has made an investment of 56,148.74 euros.
The objective of this action is to optimize energy efficiency and savings in the installation of lighting, improved illumination of the road and reduce the municipal electric bill.
The contractor, Ferrovial Services, has reduced the estimated time for completion of the works, which have been made in less than 15 days time.
Moreover, the concessionaire has contributed as improving technology LED luminaires 110 more than originally projected, with the lighting of the road of El Mojon and access from the CN 332 is replaced.
This action, which is part of the municipal Energy Saving Plan approved in 2011, will be completed in the coming months with another project to improve the lighting in the downtown area, funded by the Plan of Works and Services of the Autonomous Community, It will be implemented in the coming months and will involve an investment of 150,000 euros.
