More than 600 people have participated since last July in the activities organized by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment in the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar, to publicize and report on this protected space the characteristics of its natural beaches.
These include the special activity called 'The Treasure of Poseidon', which holds the Guest Service and aims to show how the shore of a natural beach, which can be found plant remains of marine plant Posidonia oceanica , curious round shapes, along with other agencies such as sponges, sea urchins, mollusks shells or eggs of rays and sharks, to which have been termed 'marine treasures'.
Thus, those who enjoy the beaches can identify these 'treasures' and associate them with the cleanliness and quality of the waters of the Regional Park.
Complementing this activity, has been installed in the lobby of the Visitor Center is a small exhibition of images related to the global problem of plastic waste in the sea, plus an artistic mural made of pieces of the material collected on our beaches, and a pair of containers in which the participants can be divided into 'natural and artificial' that they find while searching for treasures.
