The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the nine headman and district mayors, during this term, will represent the City Council in their respective villages.

A total of nine village headman and districts have taken up office today in a ceremony held at the hall of the City of San Javier, where they have been wrapped by relatives, neighbors and members of the Municipal Corporation.

The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, stressed the important role that the village headman since they are a key tool for the Council can reach all local residents.

In this regard, he stressed that the current government will develop along these four years an Action Plan in neighborhoods and districts in different towns of the city, providing them with better infrastructure and services that will be crucial collaboration with the new village headman.

The delimitation of pedáneas mayors and district has made on the basis of the next towns, dividing the city into nine zones.

So the village headman are Obdulia Perez Rosique, Lo Pagan;

Juan Garcia Perez of Los Cuarteros and Villananitos;

Roberto Codon Codon, El Mojon;

Maria Mercedes Martinez Garcia, Los Invernones, El Salero and the rocks, and Antonio Escudero Perez, hopes, Gomez and Los Plazas.

While Antonio Garcia Martinez, has been appointed new village headman of San Pedro;

Jose Francisco Gomez Hernandez, Las Beatas;

Juan Alcaraz Gomez, Los Saez, and Ana Maria Sanchez Saez, Los Antolinos, Los Tárragas, Loma de Arriba and Las Pachecas.

The functions of the village headman and district during this term will be representing your area, president of the neighborhood committee, assemblies or meetings convened, monitoring of works and municipal services in their area, inform neighbors on the rules, agreements and municipal actions affecting them, channeling the aspirations of residents and City Council regarding matters delegated by the mayor.
