Lo Pagan beaches in San Pedro del Pinatar, have witnessed this weekend of a feat of the world.
21 paddlers of ADPinatar have faced the challenge of getting the most distance covered in 24 hours Dragon Boat.
To beat this record, they have passed 186,54Km distance traveled by the Komodo Dragons (Australia).
The team started with some difficulties against the Australians, because the shallow Mar Menor and the high salinity of the water, are factors complicating the challenge.
To this is added the unusual wind storm with gusts of over 20 knots, she has not given respite to the paddlers and the rains that fell overnight.
The rules of the challenge would not allow relay, therefore the team have made they stop only 15 minutes every 4 hours, always remain the same athletes who shovel to shovel moving toward the expected mark.
Finally, at 10:53 and sobrándoles 7 minutes, they reached a distance of 188km, exceeding a kilometer and a half earlier mark.
