Pensioner Home Lo Pagan Jose Espinosa was the setting for this annual celebration which included a Mass, convivial meal, performance of the choir and dance exhibition.
The largest of San Pedro del Pinatar today welcomed the "Grandparents Day", an international celebration to which are added each year households in the town with a great success of participation.
Thus, around 340 have attended major planned activities, which have started at 13:00 with a Mass, which has followed a convivial meal, the performance of the choir and a dance to close the day.
The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, together with the Councillor for Social Welfare Francisca Pelegrin, attendance thanked all those present and stressed the great involvement of older people in society pinatarense, mainly through the activities planned by the homes.
They also attended the event several councilors of the municipal corporation and the Presidents of the Associations of Pensioners of Lo Pagan and San Pedro, Pedro Vicente Sánchez Pascual and Maria Cleofé respectively.
