The rider from Murcia Jose Manuel Pintado, Gandia Renault team was the first to cross the finish line in the fifteenth edition of this urban test with a time of 1 hour 28 minutes and 24 seconds.
San Pedro del Pinatar has welcomed this morning the fifteenth edition of the cycling race "Memorial Chaplain", organized by the cycling club of the town, with the assistance of the City and that has beaten record participation this year.
The race, in which 177 riders participated, mainly from Murcia and Valencia, has passed without incident and has attended professional cyclist Eloy Teruel and Salvi Guardiola Torah.
The XV memorial "Chaplain", which started just after 10:30 am, after a moment of silence and the ribbon cutting, consisted of a six-urban circular route around 75 kilometers that has passed through the center of town , the N-322, until you reach the Air City (San Javier), Lo Pagan and the road to Las Salinas.
The average speed of the race was of 44.12 kilometers per hour.
Minutes after 12:00 hours the cyclist Corvera, José Manuel Pintado crossed the finish line with a time of 1 hour 28 minutes and 24 seconds, followed by runners Jose Francisco Garcia Ruiz Re Insurance, also winner the sprint, and Pedro Jose Lopez, Renault Gandia.
The cyclist day ended with the awards, run by the council of Sports, Daniel Perez and Planning, Pedro Javier Sanchez, the president of the cycling club Pinatar, Juan Garcia and Fina Sáez, widow of "Chaplain" member of the club and who died annually honors in this race.
The prizes for the three winners were hams and also have distributed gifts to the first 40 classified loins (from 4 to 15), sausages (16 to 30) and bottles of wine (31 to 40).
