The draft budget for 2016 includes investments in infrastructure aimed at renewing and improving the urban layout and public spaces, recovery of Floridablanca Spa emblems as well as the promotion of tourism promotion or expansion of sports facilities.
The municipal council of San Pedro del Pinatar today approved in extraordinary session on General Budget for 2016, amounting to 24.34 million euros.
The mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, said during this budget debate "has as neighbors the municipal center of political action and aim to give the impetus to attain growth levels committed to the citizens of the town ".
So, this budget aims at reviving economic activity and welfare of citizens, ensuring more jobs, increasing the quality of services and a continued reduction of taxes and implementation of new tax advantages.
The budget spending, the biggest item again the intended staff who reaches 10.13 million euros, representing an increase of 1.3% over 2015, resulting in the further process of labor and wage parity between officials and the 1% increase in wages derived from the State Budget.
IMPROVING BASIC SERVICES AND COMMITMENT TO TOURISM DEVELOPMENT
Current expenditure amounted to 7.87 million euros, 7.06% more than in 2015. This increase results from future contracts maintenance of parks and gardens and beach cleaning, in which both costs are grouped personnel, equipment, and investments in this area.
Also increases by 83,000 euros, reaching up to 729,809 euros, 11.3 percent more than in 2015, the departure of primary social assistance, for contracts with Special Employment Center incorporated with the aim of promoting the employment of disabled and deepen corporate social responsibility.
The resources allocated to tourism, amounting to 76,000 euros and that affects the tourism promotion of the city and improving the services and information on beaches also increases.
The departure of Citizen Participation for the implementation of sustainable development strategy, essential to access European funds are also increases in 18,900 euros.
A new game of neighborhoods and districts is also included in this budget, a budget of 10,000 euros for the development, in collaboration with the Foundation FAMDIF an accessibility program in the municipality.
Current Transfers chapter amounts to 911,082 euros and includes grants that the city gives to groups and social, sports and cultural organizations.
It highlights the increase in 7,500 euros for socio-health associations and the incorporation of 5,000 euros in sports grants, which will be directed towards Rhythmic Pinatar club and for the first time, to promote individual athletes.
The prize of 24,000 euros for the basket, addressed to associations working with the food bank or subsidies to public transport, such as urban bus or tourist ferry, among others are also maintained.
Martinez has indicated that the budget maintains the same levels of spending in departments such as education, culture and youth and noted that social spending, including subsidies, grants and subsidies to vulnerable groups, or contracts with Special Employment Centres as a whole exceeds 650,000 euros.
RECOVERY OF ASSETS AND MODERNIZATION OF THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT
Investment chapter amounts to 1.58 million euros, 30.44% more than in 2015 and includes actions aimed at improving city services and infrastructure, such as the revision of the General Plan Municipal (40,000 euros), new Lighting (100,000 euros) or the municipal contribution to the Program of Works and Community Services that will target the renewal of public lighting (10,000 euros).
210,000 euros will also be spent on improving communication with openness and reform streets, 300,000 euros to paving and 65,000 euros for street furniture, in order to improve the image of the town and its urban surroundings, creating a more accessible town for pinatarenses.
An investment of 130,000 euros is also made for the rehabilitation project of the Spa Floridablanca, in collaboration with the Autonomous Region, and will deal with the implementation of e-government (75,000 euros).
Other buildings and public facilities, such as homes pensioner, study hall enabled on the Comprehensive Security Center or sports facilities, where 125,000 euros will be invested in the renovation and improvement of the municipal sports center, a project that will include further improve further building a new basketball court and a beach volleyball.
