San Pedro del Pinatar has been declared "free municipality of evictions" following approval by the plenary of the corporation of a joint proposal of all local political groups, which is based on the right of every human being to have a decent home .

The proposal establishes the commitment of the City of San Pedro del Pinatar to continue with municipal measures aimed to ensure the housing rights of the population and to address the housing emergency.

Also, the Municipal Corporation has established and applied the rules to ensure that families at risk of social exclusion have the minimum supplies of water, electricity and gas.

Also it contains a commitment that there be no empty municipal housing and encourage that financial institutions and banks intended owned empty homes to needy families in social rental scheme.

The proposal approved by the House, includes a total of 15 measures that have been signed and include the necessary actions to support families threatened by eviction.
