The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andres Carrillo, and the Mayor of San Javier, Visitation Martinez, signed an agreement today with an electronic signature on tax matters that enable better management of municipal taxes.
This cooperation allows the tax authorities of the Region of Murcia provide the material, human and technological resources necessary to carry out the management of major taxes in this town during the voluntary period and executive, as the Property Tax (IBI) Tax (IAE) and the Motor Vehicle, among others.
The Minister said that this collaboration "is a demonstration of the will of the regional government to support municipalities in the region to improve public service to citizens, provide greater efficiency in the management of debts and promote cost savings for the Consistory. "
The agreement involves a way of financial support, through monthly advances 90 percent of the revenue from IBI and IAE, at no cost to the City.
In addition, users will benefit from virtual office of the Inland Revenue, "use the services of telematic management to make arrangements with the collection management, such as delays and splits or requests for information, among others," said Carrillo.
The Tax Agency Region currently has signed 64 cooperation agreements in tax matters with public entities, of which 34 are municipalities in the region.
"In concepts such as IBI and IAE, the Agency anticipated last year almost 42 million euros to municipalities with which it has signed the agreement, we expect to exceed that number this year," Andrés Carrillo specified.
