On World Wetlands Day to be held tomorrow, February 2, whose theme this year is "Wetlands for Our Future: Sustainable livelihoods" the Regional Park of Salinas and Arenales of San Pedro del Pinatar will organize various activities .
The objective is to present some of the most emblematic wetlands in the region through the exploration of its natural and cultural values, discuss the problems facing these ecosystems and promote citizen participation to conserve them.
In addition, throughout the month of February, the Visitor Center 'Las Salinas' will feature a special activity: 'The salted mini-world', 9 to 14 and from 15 to 17:30, with free admission, to observe through large magnifying the form of salt crystals, colors sand beaches and tiny inhabitants of salt.
On weekends, from 9 to 14 and 15 to 17 hours, this center will give a workshop in which participants learn to make masks of the most characteristic animals in the park.
On Saturday, February 6, has organized a guided tour by Bike "Wetlands, sources of life" to discover the different wetland environment that houses the Regional Park.
The Department of Tourism also adds to celebrate World Wetlands Day featuring the "Path of Coterillo" on Sunday, February 14, 10 am to 13 pm route.
for 3 km, accompanied by a guide, following the white and green signs of Local Path, you will cross the Pinar de Coterillo to Bend of the Snake, from there by a wooden walkway takes you to the beach and along the shore returns to the starting point.
A brief stop on two bird observatories will be made, so it is recommended to bring binoculars to enjoy the visit to the Regional Park.
