The Minister of Education, Science and Research, Juan Ramón Medina, accompanied by the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar José M ª García, opened today in San Pedro del Pinatar a new public school of 3 classrooms of kindergarten and 6 primary classrooms, with capacity for 250 students, which has had an investment of 2,357,087 euros, financed entirely by the Ministry of Education.
In the current course are enrolled a total of 100 elementary and primary students and is expected in later courses, continue completing levels to the total classroom occupancy.
The director congratulated the school community attended the event and stressed that this new school "is completely designed and executed to its user-friendly, comfortable and versatile."
Medina said the "New Compact for Education, which since the Ministry has been working, including building more infrastructure in the region and added that from his department" continue to work to improve the quality of teaching. "
The center, which is located on a plot with an area of 5.978.12 m2, is integrated into the environment, emphasizing its modular and transparent, which allows maximum flexibility, alternative uses and integration of all its spaces, and a good visual communication throughout the campus.
The total floor area is 2483.43 m2, with a usable area of 2004.54 m2 to 279.20 m2 parking, the arena with 924 m2 and the remaining space as an area of 2135.98 m2
The school has three blocks which are located the places for early childhood education, in the first module, second module is located the area of primary education and administrative services and the third module has gone to the gym, multipurpose and dining room.
It is equipped to be accessible to disabled access engines outside the buildings and classrooms.
Has access to all floors of the building and the premises likely to use, installing a lift and projection of specific toilets.
In addition to the 9 classroom teachers (3 Infant and Primary 6), the center has four offices, a multipurpose room, a computer, staff room, plus dining room with kitchen, gym, with its additional space, such as locker rooms, students, and teacher, and storage.
