The general director of Housing and Architecture, Mark Nogueroles, accompanied by the mayor of San Pedro del Pinatar, Jose Maria Garcia, today inaugurated the remodeling of Villar de Felices Countess Park, located behind the City Council of this municipality.
Noguez said: "The park, built in 1987, has regained its original vitality with this performance that has allowed the lakes that were remodeled, reducing its depth to avoid unnecessary consumption of water and transforming one of them in children's playground."
The refurbishment works have involved an investment of more than half a million euros, financed by 75 percent by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, and have had a lead time of six months.
One of the innovations has been the placement of beautifully designed pieces that serve different functions, some as light and banks, and others like cafeteria tables.
These elements, which are resolved with colored polycarbonate films on metal structures, are distributed throughout the park giving it a cutting-edge image according to the new layout of spaces.
According to the CEO, "thanks to this grant is recovered emblematic of San Pedro del Pinatar, through the grant program of the Directorate General for Architecture and Housing which aims to recover the integrated environment of city life, capable to unite the physical and social infrastructure of the municipalities of the Region of Murcia. "
