It is the third year in which the groups delayed its exit from the municipality in the town to postpone the so-called "Piñata Sunday" so we can organize a parade troupes counting all the municipalities in the area.
In this way also gives the option to return to march to the groups of neighboring municipalities after the disappearance of "Carnaval del Mar Menor, which in turn rotary piñata was a Sunday between the towns of San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier and Los Alcazares.
Carnival Parade Santiago de la Ribera 2009 was among the most participatory in the region, reaching a total of 40 extras and 15,000 people packed the parade route.
It is a journey that over the previous year has been modified, shortening the route by almost half and changing the point of beginning and end are different.
In this way, a journey of nearly 2 miles in almost a straight line, will start from the beach and continue on to Avenida Mar Menor, a large prime avenue, where the sun's rays are captured by any stone or bead costumes carrying the participants.
