Special Police Unit Tutor of San Pedro del Pinatar, in collaboration with the Traffic Department and the Department of Citizen Participation, completed the basic course in Driver Education for the Elderly pinatarense municipality, held at the Home of the San Pensioner Pedro where last February 3 saw the presentation of diplomas.
The course consisted of a workshop on road safety education unless basic standards of behavior showing, traffic signs, following an inclusive approach to the Road and Civic Education, seeking general topics such as tips to implement before starting the trip, traveling with children, use of safety measures, parties and track types, and the effects that drugs and medications on driving.
Local Police argued that the formation of the Third Age in these issues can contribute very positively to the training and user awareness on road safety measures, concluding with the statement that the main objective is to bring adults responsible conduct public roads and to help these transmitters carrying the younger generating good practices in the municipality.
The course consisted of a theoretical stage, and then exceeded those that could become later in civic volunteer driver education issues, receiving a practical classes, relating to the duties they could make.
Among the 16 students who took the course, 7 of them have already signed the Driver Education Volunteer of the Department of Citizen Participation Hon.
